An intellectual history of the clock is a performative lecture aimed at a small audience, which focuses on concepts and ideas relating to the social construction of time. The lecture comments on topics such as time measurement, the history of clocks, and the standardisation movement. It is also conceived as a sort of narrated exhibition, in which artworks by different artists are neither physically shown nor explicitly represented through their image. Instead, they are referenced by different means, such as storytelling, ekphrasis, and through indirectly related visual information, which represents an attempt at exploring the possibilities of speech, storytelling, and other forms of orality as curatorial and exhibiting tools.

"An intellectual history of the clock" är en performativ föreläsning, gjord för en mindre publik, med fokus på tid som sociala konstruktion. Föreläsningen berör teman som mätning av tid, klockans historia och standardisering av rörelse. Föreläsningen är tänkt som en utställningen som tar plats genom narration vari konstverk av en mängd olika konstnärer varken visas fysiskt eller representeras visuellt. Istället refererar föreläsningen till konstverken med hjälp av historieberättande, ekfras, indirekt visuell information, vilket är ett sätt att utforska tal, berättande och andra former av verbal kommunikation som verktyg för curatering och utställningsproduktion.
