CRIS is happy to host Sylvie Fortin (CA) as our first guest of the year at the Nordic Guest Studio. In conjunction to her visit we are proud to release the inaugural issue of The International Biennial Association (IBA) journal, entitled Pass and edited by Fortin. Santiago Mostyn and Jonatan Habib Engqvist, who have contributed to the journal will also participate in the launch.

Sylvie Fortin is a curator, researcher, critic and editor. She was Executive/Artistic Director of La Biennale de Montréal (2013-2017) and Executive Director/Editor of the Atlanta-based ART PAPERS (2007-2012). 
For her on-going curatorial research of the currencies of hospitality, she is currently based in the Balkans. She will be living in North Africa-Southern Europe and US-Mexico next year. She is also editing a special issue of Public (Toronto) in 2020.

Curatorial Residency in Stockholm (CRIS) 

Curatorial Residency in Stockholm (CRIS) is a collaboration between the Nordic Art Association in Sweden and Jonatan Habib Engqvist, curator and writer. It was conceived in 2015 as free-space for curators. Previous guests at Malongen have been: Elena Agudio (IT), Abir Boukhari (SY), Övul O.
